There is no specific national dress for Malawian men as such - they mainly wear western clothes such as jeans and t-shirts. There are a number, however, who will wear religious robes or clothing. In Mawali they sometimes add clothes for they cultural needs. Such as when the people with masks come they have to wear specific kinds of dress and entertain the childrens and famalies.
Mawali People wear skirts, t-shirts, pants, and just no clothes! A chitenje is a rectangle of fabric (generally 2 x 1 metres) worn by women around the waist or chest. Chintenjes are a cheap, everyday piece of clothing. They are very often covered with a great variety of pictures, colors, and patterns.
Malawi wears a lot of cultural things while Australians somtimes do but not very often. Malawian women wears skirt every time while the men wears normal clothing. In Australia their clothes are very fancy and can be very stylish. Some clothes they use are uniform where as they wear cloths but only using it for a job. They use clothes for the red carpet which a lot of actors use when they have fancy clothes. Malawians use the same clothes almost for a week!
